Almena United Methodist Church is a people united by faith in Jesus Christ,

 who honor heritage and tradition with an eye on the future.

Dr. Kefas Lamak 

Kefas is a professor at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo –
teaching Christian history. His extensive education includes a MA in
Church History from the University of Jos, a MA in Religious Studies
from the University of Iowa, a MDiv from Baylor University, and a PhD
of Philosophy in Religious Studies from the University of Iowa. Kefas
has researched, written, and published many articles pertaining to his
studies. He was the first African to receive the prestigious Graduate
Research Excellence Award from the University of Iowa.
We look forward to his leadership as we worship together and work
cooperatively to enhance the mission of the church at Almena.

Beth Kraiger is our new Administrative Assistant. Originally from
Coloma, she now resides in Paw Paw. Beth is the mother of three
children, two sons and a daughter, as well as grandmother to six
grandchildren. She is a longtime member of Riverside United
Methodist Church.
Beth comes to us with three decades of experience in her role working
for churches. Currently, she works for Paw Paw United Methodist
Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Beth will be in our office on
Wednesdays from 8 am to 2 pm.
